| Ari has rediscovered the fun of fishing in the toilets - early this morning, I noticed his paw was wet (and luckily was in time to warn lostsatyr). lostsatyr checked the seat, and sure enough, it was wet.
Later this morning, while I was getting dressed, I heard the telltale "splish-splish" and caught him fishing in the upstairs toilet.
Silly kitty. | comments: Leave a comment |
| Today's Two Lumps strip.
Miss Kerrigan's never liked going outside - her Daddy said after the first time Mommy tried to take her out, she must have been thinking, "The ceiling is too high! And the walls are too far apart! And the floor feels funny! I don't like it! WAAAAHHHH!"
Poor timid little girl. | comments: Leave a comment |
| Some person on the Internet stole a picture of me to use for their journal. Not only that, but they were stealing Mommy's bandwidth to do it.
Luckily, Mommy found out and fixed them.
So, *HISS!* to Kittyinabasket for doing something naughty! | comments: Leave a comment |

| Mixing the antibiotic with food is a good way to get it inside Ari. I mixed it in with his dry food when I soaked it, and he ate everything. :-)
Off to give him the pain meds now.... | comments: Leave a comment |
| We picked up the kitties from their dental cleaning after lostsatyr came home from work yesterday. Mr. Ari had to have a tooth removed and is on pain medication and antibiotics for a week or so, and will need to have his dry food moistened/soaked for about the same length of time.
They were still loopy from the general anesthetic when we brought them home last night - Ari's still a bit unsure of where to place his feet on the vinyl floor in the kitchen. Hopefully he'll be feeling better later on today; he was taking the stairs with no problem this morning, so I assume he will be. He wasn't happy about having to wait for his breakfast, though. ;-) | comments: Leave a comment |
| The kitties are going in to the vet this morning for dental cleanings - their first. We've already got them in their carriers and Ari's most unhappy about not getting his breakfast - especially when he missed his bedtime snack/bribe (to get the two of them to go down to the first floor at night, the hubby throws them a few pieces of dry cat food).
The way Mr. Ari is carrying on, I feel like such a bad mommy. :-)
At least I managed to get the stool samples out of the litter box this morning, too. | comments: Leave a comment |
| Apparently Ari has kept the weight off - he and Kerrigan both fit in the crow's nest on their cat tree (he chased her out of it).
At least he's healthier now than when he'd get stuck halfway in because his tummy didn't fit through the hole.... | comments: Leave a comment |
| Dear Santa,
I have been a good girl this year. Much better than my brother. He'll probably tell you differently, but I was much better behaved than he was. After all, I don't go fishing in the toilet and leave the seat wet for Daddy, or go crawling into the cupboards.
If it wouldn't be too much trouble, could you bring me a new kitty fishing pole and some Pounce? I like Pounce a whole lot; not like Ari, who'll eat anything.
Mommy says if I'm a good girl, you will bring me what I ask for. I want you to know that I'm trying very hard to be a good girl, even if I do go up on the dining room table sometimes. But I always jump right off when Mommy catches me, so that means it doesn't count, right?
I will try very hard to be a good girl until Christmas.
Yours truly, Kerrigan
PS - If Mommy and Daddy get stuff from that "Amazon" place, I can get the nice ribbons from their packages to play with. And please bring lots of love for Pooky Bear; Ari bullies him a lot. | comments: Leave a comment |
| Dear Santa Claws,
I have been a very good boy this year. OK, there was the time I stole Daddy's sub. But he left the chair pulled out from the table, so he must have meant for me to have it - it isn't my fault that he changed his mind! Who can figure people, anyway?
I would be very happy if you would bring me another Cat Dancer. My old one is getting worn out from playing with it too much. I would also like to have some kitty treats. I like Pounce, Kitty Bites, and Aquari-Yums. I think the Aquari-yums are my favorite - Mommy brought them home from the supermarket a month ago, and I really love them.
I would also like my own computer monitor to sleep on - Daddy won't let me on his at all, and Mommy got upset when my tail would hang down over hers. Now she has a new monitor, so maybe I can have her old one. Maybe you can tell her to give it to me?
Please bring Mommy and Daddy lots of nice things, too. Then I get to play with the ribbons on the packages, which is lots of fun.
Sincerely, Ari | comments: Leave a comment |
| Lately, Kerrigan's been curled up on the end of the couch where I leave the TV or DVD player remote.
I keep wondering if lostsatyr and I will come home sometime to find the TV on... | comments: Leave a comment |
